A rattle noise preventing type motor driven power steering system in a vehicle is provided to make a worm wheel freely slide in the axial direction for stable engagement with a worm shaft, thereby preventing the generation of rattle noise. A rattle noise preventing type motor driven power steering system in a vehicle includes stoppers(50) mounted at upper and lower parts of a worm shaft(20), which is coupled with a worm wheel(30), by a predetermined distance, and springs(60) mounted between the worm wheel and the stoppers, so that the worm wheel engaged with the worm shaft stably for absorbing shock transmitted to the worm wheel.
