A method and an apparatus for analyzing a web server log by an intrusion detection method are provided to enable a manager to take a measure for hacking attempt efficiently by automatically analyzing the log information of a web server that is hacked from the outside. An input unit(310) receives log information of a web server from a manager, and a determination unit(320) analyzes the log information of the inputted web server based on a hacking attempt detection rule. The determination unit judges hacking attempt, and an output unit(330) produces a check history report for the determination results.
