APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INTERFACING HAND HAPTIC

A hand haptic interface apparatus and a method thereof are provided to perform simulation through a hand haptic interface, thereby providing a natural and direct interface. A hand haptic hardware block(10) provides hand tracking data which are visualized on a three dimensional graphic screen by tracking accurate hand motion of a user. The hand haptic hardware block performs touch presentation and reflecting haptic presentation to the user by receiving hand force/torque data corresponding to the hand tracking data. A hand haptic interface software block(20) generates hand force/torque data for reflecting haptic rendering through an application according to the hand tracking data.
