An apparatus for controlling the vehicle driving speed, and its method are provided to improve the ride comfort of passengers by obtaining the safety of vehicles. An apparatus(100) for controlling the vehicle driving speed comprises a front image sensor(110) which takes a photograph of the front road of a car to obtain the image data, and extracts the front road information from the image data by using a Kalman filter; a control part(120) which calculates the speed necessary for the driving of a car by using the front road information; and a drive part(130) which controls the driving operation of a car according to the calculated speed of a car.
