FIELD: construction. ^ SUBSTANCE: threads of melt polyethylene terephthalate from polycondensation reactor are hardened, granulated and cooled down to temperature in the range from 50C to temperature close to Tg of polymer, by means of contact with water. Hot granules are transported with further drying for water removal into chiller. ^ EFFECT: avoiding of amorphous granules cooling down to room temperature with water or cold air, significant power savings may be obtained. ^ 18 cl, 3 dwg |
