If the rate of variation, the energy revealed by the photo receiver matrix pixel varies at, is within the range limited by the known maximum and minimum IR source radiated energy variation rate at the moment of firearm shot, then the availability of shot is disclosed. The shot location angular coordinates are defined by the address of the photo receiver matrix pixel (line and column numbers) that received the said energy.
