The blade (1) has a wiper strip (10) inserted longitudinally in a holding rail (24) arranged on a flexible support structure (20). An assembly element (50) is integrated to an end of the structure so as to immobilize the strip inside the rail. The element includes a locking zone in a central portion, and a lateral dent (60) is arranged in the zone for transversely exerting a pressure on the strip. The dent is formed along a direction perpendicular to a plane of the blade. The element is made of thermoplastic material. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a windscreen wiper blade.
