The flap (18) has a movable part (22) rotated around a hinge (24) between a closing position in which the part (22) covers an upper opening (16) of an airbag case (10) and an opening position in which a free end part (26) of the part (22) is spaced from the case to permit passage of an airbag (12). The free end part is arranged opposite to the hinge. The part (22) has thickness that is less in the proximity of the part (26) when compared to the proximity of the hinge such that the part (26) is bent towards the exterior of the case under the effect of deployment of the airbag. An independent claim is also included for a fascia of a motor vehicle, comprising an airbag case receiving opening.
