#CMT# #/CMT# The disc brake (1) for a motor vehicle, comprises a friction disc (40) e.g. a metallic sheet comprising two parallel annular faces on friction linings (42) and a unit for clamping the friction faces. The clamping unit comprises two friction pads (30) oppositely arranged to each other. Each friction pads cover a fraction of the annular faces of the friction disk, and comprises a coolant circulation device (36), a front plate for contacting with the lining of the disc brake and a rear box in which the coolant circulates. The rear box comprises an internal mold. #CMT# : #/CMT# The disc brake (1) for a motor vehicle, comprises a friction disc (40) e.g. a metallic sheet comprising two parallel annular faces on friction linings (42) and a unit for clamping the friction faces. The rear box comprises an internal mold increasing the surface of heat exchange between the liquid and the box, plots extending within the box according to a normal direction of the friction disc, an input tube, and an output tube of the liquid allowing to connect the box with an external cooling circuit such as a heat engine of the vehicle. The rear box is obtained by molding a light alloy on the front plate. The input tube is located at the inlet of the brake torque corresponding to a side that gets heated during braking. The rear boxes of two friction pads of the same brake caliper are connected in parallel on the cooling circuit. The external cooling circuit is an independent circuit comprising a circulation pump and a heat exchanger. The circulation pump is activated by a contact operated by implementation of the brakes. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# The disc brake is useful for a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The disc brake can be manufactured in a simple, compact and efficient manner, has improved capacity for the heat exchange, and improves the aerodynamics and reduces the mass of the vehicle. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The figure shows an axial cross-sectional view of a disk brake. 1 : Brake 2 : Wheel 30 : Friction pads 36 : Circulation device 40 : Friction disc 42 : Friction linings. |
