<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate selection and layout of images when print data laying out a plurality of images on a single sheet is created on a printer device. <P>SOLUTION: A layout method is provided for creating print data laying out a plurality of images on a single sheet. With the printer device set up communicatively with an imaging device, an image insertion destination is specified by a frame displayed in a display screen of the printer device. When a transfer object image is selected on the imaging device, the image is transferred from the imaging device to the printer device.
