<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide biopsy forceps for an endoscope, capable of surely and smoothly cutting biopsy tissue by a pair of forceps cups and preventing the biopsy tissue from being torn and damaged more than needed when sampling the biopsy tissue. <P>SOLUTION: In the biopsy forceps for the endoscope, the inner peripheral dimension of the opening end of a first forceps cup is smaller than the outer peripheral dimension of the opening end of a second forceps cup, at least one of the first forceps cup and the second forceps cup is provided with a bringing part for bringing the opening end of the second forceps cup to the inner side of the opening end of the first forceps cup, and when the pair of forceps cups are closed centering on a support shaft by an opening/closing means, the inner edge of the opening end of the first forceps cup and the outer edge of the opening end of the second forceps cup are closed while being in slidable contact in the order from the proximal end side to the distal end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
