PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display method and device, which performs image display which is easier to use for a user while relating photographing time information to photographing position information. SOLUTION: When one of index-displayed thumbnail images is selected, a map image corresponding to the photographing position of the selected image is acquired. Thereafter, the images photographed within the same map range in the same photographing year as the selected image are retrieved, the retrieved images are numbered in the order of the photographing time, and markers indicating the photographing positions of the respective images are displayed on the map image according to the numbers.
