PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for toner for electrophotography for achieving excellent fixation performance at low temperatures and thermal insulating storage performance simultaneously and achieving excellent crushing performance when manufacturing this toner by a melting, mixing, and crushing method and to provide the toner manufactured by this method. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for the toner for electrophotography containing binding resin containing crystalline polyester and amorphous polyester and having a glass transition point Ttg and two peak temperatures Ttq, Ttm in heat absorption in the differential scanning quantity of heat measurement which satisfy the specific relation comprises a heating holding process at temperature in a fixed scope decided based on the highest peak temperature in heat absorption in the differential scanning quantity of heat measurement of a toner composition containing the binding resin. The heating holding process comprises a process for heating and holding the heated and held material obtained in the heating holding process at heating temperature Trb(°C) being lower than heating temperature Tra(°C) by 10-70°C.
