PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified asphalt composition which provides comparable or better softening point when compared to conventional compositions, and exhibits superior ductility at low temperature, thereby being applicable to road paving, waterproof sheets and sealants. SOLUTION: The modified asphalt composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of asphalt and 0.5-40 pts.wt. of a block copolymer represented by the chemical formula 1: A<SB>1</SB>-B<SB>1</SB>-X-B<SB>2</SB>-A<SB>2</SB>, wherein A<SB>1</SB>and A<SB>2</SB>each represents a polymer block containing an aromatic vinyl monomer; B<SB>1</SB>and B<SB>2</SB>each represents a polymer block containing a butadiene monomer; X is a coupling agent; and a rate of blocking of A is 70-95%.
