PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scattering of matters adhered to a belt and wear of return roller support shafts and the belt caused by contact of the belt lower face with the support shafts by dividedly arranging return rollers only on right and left sides on the return side of a belt conveyor. SOLUTION: This roller for the belt conveyor comprises the return rollers 5 dividedly arranged on the right and left sides and at least a double link 7 having a folding joint part 6, and is configured so that both side outer ends of the link 7 and inner ends of the return roller support shafts 8 of the return rollers 5 are interconnected.
