PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever device capable of easily assembling a position pin before a shift lever is assembled to a base bracket, and realizing conditions advantageous in strength. SOLUTION: This shift lever device comprises an inverted-U-sectioned base bracket 10 having a pair of side walls 12 and a ceiling wall 11, a shift lever body 50A swingably supported by the base bracket, a working rod inserted inside the shift lever body, a position pin 56 provided to a base end of the working rod, and a detent groove 20 provided to the base bracket. A convex wall 21 is provided inside a pair of the side walls of the base bracket. The convex wall 21 is integrally formed on both sides of the shift lever body across the side walls and the ceiling wall of the base bracket.
