PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing structure for a vehicle, in which load-displacement characteristics can be tuned at low cost, and a sufficient impact stroke is stably secured. SOLUTION: Against a top plate part 12 to which an impact is inputted, two sidewall parts 14a and 14b are integrally erected to face each other to form a U-shaped cross section. Each sidewall part 14 is formed wavy with projections 26 and recesses 28 alternately and continuously formed. On tip parts of each sidewall part 14, a bottom plate part 15 is integrally formed. On the sidewall part 14 and the bottom plate part 15, first window parts 38 are provided over a part of the sidewall part 14 including a bottom surface part 29 and both side surface parts 30 and 30 of the recess 28 of each sidewall part 14, and a part of the bottom plate part 15 provided to be continuous with the bottom surface part 29 to be held between both side surface parts 30 and 30.
