PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo-linking compound linking nucleic acids in a shorter time than those of existing cases and simply carrying out on demand modification, a photo-linking agent and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The nucleic acids having any of groups expressed by formula I, formula III, formula IV or formula V as their base moiety, the photo-linking agents consisting of the above nucleic acids and a method for producing nucleic acids by reacting the nucleic acids having any of groups expressed by formula VI, formula VII, formula VIII or formula IX as their base moiety with an aromatic azide expressed by formula X:Ra-N3 are provided.
