<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus capable of making each pixel perform display operation and light receiving operation, and suppressing a decrease in opening ratio or luminance. <P>SOLUTION: A display cell CW consisting of a liquid crystal display element, a color filter CF, and a light receiving cell CR are disposed between a substrate 110, and a counter substrate 120. The display operation, and the light receiving operation are performed in each pixel. The color filter CF is constituted by including a photoelectric conversion material, more concretely, a sensitizing dye and is provided with a function as a photoelectric conversion element 141 in the light receiving element CR.
