PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the throughput of the entire network in a network system in which a plurality of nodes are connected through a transmission path in the shape of a ring. SOLUTION: Each node on the network is provided with: a transmission quality monitoring part 35 for periodically monitoring the transmission quality of a self-port; a transmission quality management table 42 for storing the monitored transmission quality; a termination determining part 39 for determining a termination place on the base of information of the transmission quality control table 42; and a node state controlling part 40 for managing a node state of a self-node. Each node stores the transmission quality of the entire nodes on the network into the transmission quality control table 42 to share the transmission quality by transmitting the transmission quality information of the self-node monitored by the transmission quality monitoring part 35 to the entire nodes, and judges the node with the worst transmission quality to be a termination place on the basis of a comparison result of the transmission quality.
