CAM CARRIER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam carrier capable of easily securing high processing accuracy in processing of a bearing and an oil passage forming space, and to provide a method for manufacturing the cam carrier. SOLUTION: The cam carrier 23 is formed in a ladder shape comprising a pair of longitudinal frames 40 and a plurality of lateral frames 41 bridging between the longitudinal frames 40. A bearing 42 and a base passage supplying oil to the bearing are formed on one (lateral frame 41A) of the plurality of lateral frames 41. The bearing 42 constructs a part of an oil passage 68 for supplying oil to parts other than the bearing 42. A reinforcement frame 68 connecting the lateral frame 41A and a lateral frame 41 (lateral frame 41B) adjacent to the same as one unit is formed. The oil passage 68 is formed in a shape extending to the lateral frame 41B via an inside of the reinforcement frame 67 with having a start point at the bearing formed on the lateral frame 41A.
