PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine that calculates alert timing to communicate maintenance information based on cumulative data of at least either of a sew time or a stitch count, and allows the maintenance information to be communicated for a predetermined multiple number of times when the alert timing has not been reached, a maintenance information alert program, and a recording medium therefor. SOLUTION: The program includes determining whether or not any of alert timings for communicating maintenance information has been reached based on the cumulative data of either of a sew time Ta and a stitch count Na, Na1, and Na2 (S4), setting "3" to maintenance information display count D (S6), displaying the predetermined maintenance information on a liquid crystal display 28 (S9), and then decrementing the maintenance information display count D by "1" (S10).
