A method and an apparatus for inverse fast Fourier transform are provided to reduce operation quantity and complexity by allocating a transmitting signal to a desired frequency region by modulation. An inverse fast fourier transform part(405) determines a size of inverse fast fourier transform according to a size of an information symbol to be transmitted. The inverse fast fourier transform part performs operation of the inverse fast fourier transform by a determined size. An interpolation filter(409) performs an interpolation filtering in a time domain signal which is operated by the inverse fast fourier transform. A modulation part(411) modulates the interpolated signal.
