<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device capable of making a pre-load detection error smaller and accurately detecting the malfunction of a bearing. <P>SOLUTION: A spacer has an outer ring spacer 17 laid between outer rings 12g, 12g arranged side by side in the axial direction, and an inner ring spacer 16 laid between inner rings 12i, 12i. A detecting means is provided on a distortion producing part 19 for detecting a pre-load on the bearing. A housing 10 is provided for fitting the bearing 12 to the outer ring spacer 17.
