摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery capable of securing a sufficient charging electric amount while having excellent low-temperature characteristics and life characteristics, a battery pack using the same, a hybrid vehicle mounting this, and a battery system. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium ion secondary battery 100 is provided with a positive electrode active material 153, a negative electrode active material 154, and a non-aqueous electrolytic liquid 140. Out of these, the positive electrode active material 153 is LiFe<SB>(1-x)</SB>M<SB>x</SB>PO<SB>4</SB>(M is at least one of Mn, Cr, Co, Cu, Ni, V, Mo, Ti, Zn, Al, Ga, Mg, B, and Nb, 0&le;x&le;0.5).
