<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for sufficiently storing water in a hot water storage tank from such a state that the hot water storage tank is vacant or such a state that a water level is low in a hot water storage type electric water heater comprising a cistern tank and the hot water storage tank. <P>SOLUTION: The cistern tank C is disposed at an upper portion of the hot water storage tank 1, and the cistern tank is provided with a first water supply pipe 61 connected with a lower portion of the hot water storage tank 1. Further, a second water supply pipe 62 and a tank water supply pipe 63 are disposed in a state that the second water supply pipe is connected with an inlet side of a pump 11, and the tank water supply pipe is connected with an outlet side of the pump 11 and the hot water storage tank 1. A control device is disposed to supply the water to the hot water storage tank from the cistern tank by natural drop of the water in the first water supply pipe, and to convey the water from the cistern tank to the hot water storage tank by operating the pump through the second water supply pipe and the tank water conveying pipe when the water level in the hot water storage tank is lower than a certain value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
