<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, or the like, capable of suppressing ink consumption. <P>SOLUTION: An MFP includes paper feed trays wherein sheets are stored; an EEPROM for storing colors of sheets stored in the paper feed trays; an image data acquiring section (S11) for acquiring image data; background color extracting sections (S13 and S14) for detecting the background color from the image data; an achromation section (S21) for forming conversion data where the pixels of the background colors contained in the image data are converted to achromatic color; and an image forming section (S23) for forming the converted data image on the sheet which are stored in the paper feed tray, when the background color is similar to the color of the sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
