PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of raising workability in a work for assembling/disassembling an imaging unit to/from the insertion part of an endoscope body. SOLUTION: The endoscope includes: an imaging unit mounting hole part 28 which is arranged on the main body 2A side of the insertion part 2, so as to removably hold the imaging unit 11; an imaging unit putting-in/taking-out part 20 which is arranged in an operation part 3 connected to the proximal end of the insertion part 2 so as to put-in/take-out the imaging unit 11; and an operation means 34 where the distal end is fixed to the imaging unit 11 and the proximal end is extended to the imaging unit putting-in/taking-out part 20, so as to attach/detach the imaging unit 11 to/from the imaging unit mounting hole part 28 on the side of the imaging unit putting-in/taking-out part 20.
