PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of obtaining high sealing performance even with a narrow framing, and a compact size with elongated life. SOLUTION: The light-emitting device 10 includes a light-emitting element 14 at least having a light-emitting layer, switching elements 18 for driving the light-emitting element 14, layered wiring lines 20 for connecting at least the light-emitting element 14 with the switching elements 18, a substrate 12 arranging the light-emitting element 14, the switching elements 18 and the layered wiring lines 20, and a sealing substrate 16 arranged on the substrate 12 through a sealing member 26 for covering the light-emitting element 14. The sealing substrate 16 includes a concave part 37 and a convex part 39 on a face opposed to the substrate 12, of which, the concavepart 37 is arranged to overlap with each arrangement face where the light-emitting element 14, the switching elements 18 and the layered wiring lines 20 are arranged, while, the convex part 39 is arranged at the periphery of the concave part 37, and the sealing member 26 surrounds the periphery of the light-emitting element 14 and is arranged at least at a part of the concave part 37 and at least at a part of the convex part 39.
