PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source apparatus which accurately performs beams superposition and irradiation of a photoreceptor drum with beams and allows manufacturing processes to be increased, and the manufacturing cost thereof to be suppressed. SOLUTION: The light source 1 is used for an optical scanner. A beam splitter 5 superposes a beam B1 that a laser diode 2 has emitted and a beam 2 that a laser diode 3 has emitted, and allows the beams to advance substantially in the same direction. An intermediate holder 32 and a light source holder 36 hold a beam splitter 5 and a laser diode 3, respectively. A base 31 has a mounting face 31a on which the intermediate holder 32 is mounted in a position adjustable manner and a mounting face 31c which is mounted to a housing 42. The angle between a vectorαwhich is directed in the normal line of the mounting face 31a and extends to the side of the intermediate holder 32 and a vectorβwhich is directed in the normal line of the mounting face 31b and extends to the side of the housing 42 is 0 degree or larger and 90 degrees or smaller.
