PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide post-processing means capable of performing paper alignment of good quality at the minimum torque of an alignment mechanism according to the weight of a batch of paper automatically calculated based on a paper size, paper basis weight and the number of bound paper sheets which a user sets on the operation means of an image forming device. SOLUTION: According to the weight of a batch of paper automatically calculated based on a paper size, paper basis weight and the number of bound paper sheets which a user sets on the operation means of the image forming device, the motor current of a stepping motor in the alignment mechanism is switched. Therefore, when the batch of paper is lightweight, the motor current is reduced without loss of paper alignment of good quality. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
