PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying mechanism allowing easy recognition of a wear state of a separation roller and quick coping with difficulties of separation and conveyance of a medium due to wear of the separation roller at a low cost, and a recording device provided with the mechanism. SOLUTION: This sheet delivering and conveying mechanism 50 is provided with a hand sheet feeding part 10 stored with sheets to be a plurality of sheet-shaped media in stacked states, a conveying roller 52 rotated and driven in a conveying direction from the hand sheet feeding part 10 to deliver the sheets, and the separation roller 53 for separating the sheets regulated in rotation of the conveying direction and double-fed by the conveying roller 52. The mechanism 50 is provided with a roller supporting member 61 for attachably/detachably supporting the separation roller 53 and a wear state displaying part 71 for displaying the wear state of the separation roller 53 based on displacement of the roller supporting member 61.
