PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for vehicle, securely performing memory check without having bad influence on control. SOLUTION: A storage area of a flash memory ROM 27 is split in advance into a plurality of split areas based on execution procedure of a plurality of subprograms constituting a control program. Followed by the execution procedure of a plurality of the subprograms, memory check is successively performed on one split area to store the subprogram to be run next out of a plurality of the split areas.
