An automatic analysis system (10) comprises a biological/immune analysis pretreatment unit (117) for pretreating a sample for biological analysis and a sample for immune analysis, a genetic analysis pretreatment unit (119) for pretreating a sample for genetic analysis, and an integrated analysis unit (127) including a measurement optical system (128) for optically measuring the pretreated sample which has undergone the pretreatment in the biological/immune analysis pretreatment unit (117) or the genetic analysis pretreatment unit (119) by irradiating the sample with analysis light. In the integrated analysis unit (127), the pretreated sample is analyzed by the measurement optical system (128) carrying out a measurement according to the type of analysis of the pretreated sample.
