<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode of a secondary battery having high durability with maintaining low resistance, and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the same. <P>SOLUTION: Of the positive electrode of the secondary battery comprising a collector and an electrode layer containing an active material, a conductive agent and a binder, tap density of the active material is 2.0 g/cm<SP>3</SP>or less, the volume of the binder is 90 pts.wt. or less based on 100 pts.wt. of the conductive agent, and peel strength between the collector and the electrode layer is 0.1 N/mm or more.
