<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture absorbing/releasing agent for use in an outdoor electric box that can adjust humidity in an electric box within a prescribed humidity range for a long period of time, prevents its moisture absorbing/releasing capability from being lost even under exposure to direct sunlight and high temperature in summer and can be recycled by heating and drying the same, which electric box is disposed outdoors and houses electric devices such as power distributing devices, power transformers and communications devices. <P>SOLUTION: The moisture absorbing/releasing agent for use in an outdoor electric box constituted of a nonwoven fabric structure comprising a moisture absorbing/releasing layer constituted of at least of two species of fibers is characterized in that the moisture absorbing/releasing layer comprises a moisture absorbing/releasing fiber A and a thermally bondable fiber B at a weight ratio (water absorbing/releasing fiber A: thermally bondable fiber B) in a range of 90: 10 to 30: 70, which water absorbing/releasing fiber A shows a difference of the moisture absorption: R1(%) at a temperature of 20°C and a humidity of 40% RH and the moisture absorption: R2(%) at a temperature of 20°C and a humidity of 90% RH, namely (R2-R1) of not lower than 40%.
