PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device capable of restraining erroneous discharge in a sustain period so as to materialize an interlace drive without complicating a circuit configuration. SOLUTION: Switches SW1, SW2 are disposed between a sustain circuit 23 of outputting a sustain pulse and scan circuits 21, 22 of driving Y electrodes, Y electrodes of even display lines and Y electrodes of add display lines can be controlled independently into a high impedance state, moreover, the Y electrode is made into the high impedance state in such a voltage state as to perform the final sustain discharge in the first sustain period and, thereby, discharges of even display lines can be restrained in second sustain periods of odd frames, discharges of odd display lines can be restrained in second sustain periods of even frames, and erroneous discharge in a second sustain period can be restrained.
