摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the optical characteristics change with the presence of a target substance, which becomes necessary when the amount of the target substance contained in a specimen which uses a microflow channel element, for better sensitivity and to make prevention of the deterioration of the S/N ratio, which is produced by the light transmitted through the outside of a detection region or the light reflected from the outside of the detection region realizable, using a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The S/N ratio of detection light is enhanced, by guiding the light transmitted through or reflected from the detection region by making different the advancing directions of the light transmitted through or reflected from the detection region and of the light transmitted through or reflected from a peripheral region by the refraction or reflection with the cross-sectional shape of the flow channel in the periphery of the detection region, in the flow channel on a substrate.
