PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for connecting a down pipe and a down pipe joint together, which facilitates an operation by enabling the down pipe and the down pipe joint to be surely connected together without use of an adhesive. SOLUTION: A plurality of hole portions 15 are provided at a peripheral edge portion 11c adjacent to a flange portion 12 of a tubular member 11; a push-in portion 22e of one end 22a of a tubular inside member 22 is inserted into the hole portion 15; and a first protrusion portion 16 protruding from an outer peripheral surface 11d is formed at the other end 11b in such a shape as to have a first inclined plane 16a. A fixing piece 20, which covers the other end 11b in such a manner as to have an approximate U-shaped cross section, is mounted from the first inclined place 16a to an inner peripheral surface 11e of the tubular member 11 in such a manner as to provide a space 21 between the fixing piece 20 and the other end 11b. The down pipe 14 is pushed in by abutting on the push-in portion 22e of a fixing piece operating portion 22d, so that the fixing piece 20 can be adhesion-deformed by being sandwiched between the first and second inclined planes 16a and 24b along the second protrusion portion 24c of the other end 11b of the tubular member 11. Thus, a plurality of triangular shapes S at the leading end of the fixing piece 20 protrude from the first protrusion portion 16 and bite into the tubular member 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
