PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet exhibiting high levels of adhesiveness, high-temperature cohesiveness, and preventing properties of edge peeling in a well-balanced state, and to provide an aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive composition suitable for forming the sheet. SOLUTION: The aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises an acrylic polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer raw material comprising an alkyl (meth)acrylate as a main monomer and a silanol group-forming monomer, and having 65×10<SP>4</SP>to 100×10<SP>4</SP>mass-average molecular weight of a THF-soluble portion as a principal component. The monomer raw material is a monomer raw material affording a polymer having 7-17% mass ratio of an ethyl acetate-insoluble portion when polymerized in a composition except the silanol group-forming monomer. The mass ratio of the ethyl acetate-insoluble portion occupying the pressure-sensitive adhesive after cross-linking formed from the composition is 20-55%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
