PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition providing a UV-cut lamp that highly effectively prevents coming of insects, discoloration of fibers, paper, and other articles due to ultraviolet rays, eyestrain due to a fluorescent lamp on a desk, or the like with little illuminance reduction, and to provide the UV-cut lamp processed by using the composition. SOLUTION: The coating composition is based on (a) 8-16 pts.wt. of at least one selected among a group consisting of metal alkoxide and metal hydroxide, in terms of solid content, (b) 35-60 pts.wt. of zinc sulfide with an average particle size of 0.01-0.1μm and/or a mixture of 30-70 wt.% of the zinc sulfide and 30-70 wt.% of zinc carbonate or zinc oxide with an average particle size of 0.02-0.2μm, and (c) 24-57 pts.wt. of a solvent, with (a)+(b)+(c)=100 pts.wt. The UV-cut lamp is subjected to application of the composition to the outer surface and/or the inner surface of the glass tube of a lamp, heating and curing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
