An optical film, a manufacturing method thereof, and a backlight unit using the same are provided, which improve price competitive power of the liquid crystal display and back light unit. An optical film(150) includes the substrate(151) and the transparent prism protrusion(157). The prism protrusion protrudes on one side of the substrate. The prism protrusion condenses the light which is incident from substrate and radiates the light. The prism protrusion is laminated in multi-layers on one side of the substrate. The specular layer is interposed between the prism protrusion laminated in multi-layers.
