<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of suppressing change in the quantity of movement of an imaging element resulting from change in an urging direction of a spring member. <P>SOLUTION: In the video camera (imaging apparatus) 10, a spring 28 is so arranged that the urging direction E of the spring 28 is inclined with respect to the axial line D of the rotating shaft 261a of a stepping motor 261, thereby: inclining a transmission arm member 26 urged by the spring 28 with respect to the axial line D of the rotating shaft 261a; and bringing the transmission arm member 26 into contact with a nut 262 engaging with the rotating shaft 261a.
