<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cash management system 11 for managing the cash of a POS register 21 without constructing any largely scaled system through a network. <P>SOLUTION: A reader/writer 25 of a POS register 21 reads/writes data related with settlement with electronic money in an electronic money medium. The existing reader/writer 25 is additionally provided with a function for reading/writing data related with cash managed by a POS register 21 in a non-contact IC tag built-in storage medium for data management.
