<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp unit and a lighting apparatus capable of stabilizing output at a wide range of ambient temperature and restraining generation of eddy current and damage caused by the eddy current even though a metal mounting tool is used. <P>SOLUTION: The electrodeless discharge lamp unit 1 includes a looped valve 2, a ring-shaped core 31 consisting of two core split pieces 31a, the mounting tool 7, a gap formation member 5 arranged between cutting planes of core split pieces 31a, and a contact member 6 projecting from the gap formation member 5 to an outer peripheral side of the core 31 and bringing into contact with the mounting tool 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
