<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic eliminator to eliminate static electricity from a card-shaped medium to be inserted into and removed from a slot and positively preventing invasion of foreign matters from the opening with less components. <P>SOLUTION: The electrostatic eliminator includes a housing 5 containing a card opening 7A through which a PC card 11 is inserted and removed and a sheet-like electrically conductive member 12 having one end fixed to the housing 5 and the other end extending to close the card opening 7A. When a PC card 11 is inserted into the card opening 7A, the PC card 11 touches the electrically conductive member 12 and its charged static electricity is eliminated by the member 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
