PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat having a constitution that a headrest is moved forwardly to support a head of an occupant and to mitigate a shock to the head when a rear-end collision of a vehicle occurs, capable of preventing any loss of the load to move the headrest forwardly, and efficiently transmitting the load to the headrest. SOLUTION: The vehicle seat S comprises a seatback frame 20 having a pair of side frames 21 arranged separate in the right-to-left direction, a plate-like supporter 40 arranged between the pair of side frames 21 to receive the load for backward movement, a transmission unit 60 for connecting the plate-like supporter 40 to a headrest 3 via a link mechanism, and a holding member 70 arranged in the link mechanism. The holding member 70 is arranged at the position separate by the predetermined distance from a turning shaft 67 of a lower link 65 which is turnably provided below the side frame 21 while connecting the side frame 21 and the lower link 65 thereto, and the distance between the side frame 21 and the lower link 65 to a predetermined value.
