PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved magnetoresistive device. SOLUTION: The magnetoresistive device comprises a ferromagnetic region 5, a non-ferromagnetic region 6, an insulating region 7 and a conductive region 8. The insulating region is arranged between the ferromagnetic region and the conductive region so as to provide a tunnel barrier.
