PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a new noise detection method for detecting even a dotted line-shaped noise. SOLUTION: In this two-dimensional solid-state image pickup device 43 having an image processing circuit 30 for processing the sensor data of pixels, the image processing circuit includes a correction circuit for correcting the sensor data of a pixel for every line, wherein the image pickup device is configured to read the sensor data of the pixel of the two-dimensional solid image pickup device (S11), to calculate the degree of variation of the sensor data of the pixel (S14, S15) for every line of the two-dimensional solid image pickup device, to decide a line in which the calculated degree of variation is equal to or more than a prescribed threshold as a defect line (S16), and to set the correction circuit to correct the line decided as the defect line with the data of a proximity line (S17).
