PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defective pixel correcting method capable of saving a storage capacity for storing correction information for defective pixels and properly correcting defective pixel groups that continuously occur. SOLUTION: A map generating means 31 for generating a map of defective pixels, a correction information storing means 38 for selectively storing correction information with reference to the map, and a correcting means 42 for correcting image data on the basis of the correction information stored in the correction information storing means 38 are included. When defective pixels continuously appear in the map, the correction information storing means 38 selects and stores a defective pixel to be corrected so as to be a discontinuous defective pixel, a static correcting means 43 corrects the pixel value of the detective pixel selected as a defective pixel to be corrected, a redetecting part 44 newly detects a defect about the remaining isolated defective pixels in each imaging, and a dynamic correcting means 45 interpolates and generates the pixel value of a detective pixel from a pixel value of a peripheral pixel.
